Satellite Sound Broadcasting Transmission System, File NO.: CSS—90—017 [IBFS File NO.:

       Sign 52367)

Dear Ms. Salas:

I am writing on behalf ofthe Corporate Council on Africa to support the above cited AfriSpace Inc.
application.

The Corporate Council on Africa is a non—profit, non—partisan, membership organization of
American corporations and individuals that are committed to developing the African private sector
and strengthening the commercial relationship between the United States and Africa. The Council
supports projects that it believes will assist Africa‘s economic, social and political growth.

The AfriSpace digital audio broadcast satellite system is the first broadcast satellite dedicated to
serving Africa. The system will provide news and information programming that will help to
equalize the access of African entrepreneurs to the information highway. Through partnerships
with African broadcasters, it will stimulate private enterprise, provide investment capital, and
enable technology transfer between the U.S. and Africa.

It is the Council‘s position that a flourishing Africa is not just good for African countries, but for the
United States. Our national security, environmental protection and economic success hinges upon
Africa‘s prosperity and stability. Because I believe that the AfriSpace Inc. project will help to
contribute to a flourishing Affrica, I urge the FCC to approve this application.

Respectfully yours,

David H. Miller
Executive Director
