Techsonle Industries ("Techsonic‘} has been in the business of designing, manufacturing and selling depth sounders for sport fishermen and pleasure boaters for over 20 years. Three years ago, Techsonic expanded our product line with the first of a series of marine VHF radlos and are currently developing several new GPS based navigation products aimed at both maring and terrostrial markets. All Techsonlc products are solid under the Humminbird name.

Techsonlc estimates that over 5 million people use Humminbird producis. Over 300 people are employed by Techsonic Industries in Eufaula, Alabama. Techsonic views DARS as proposed by Salellite CD Radio as an opportunity to increase services to our customers and create new Jobs. Humminbird products are used by customers In pursult of recreation often in remote Iocations, DARS has the capability of providing entertainment and emergency warnings to these customers. Techsonlec has the ability to manufacture and market moblle DARS equipment and feels that there is a waiting tnarket. Techsonic requests that the Commission act favorably on the Satellite CD Radio, Inc. Application because: 1. The system proposed in the Application will have value to customers in remote locations. 2. The system proposed in the Application will create new Jobs In America.
