_ Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat") hereby notifies the Commission that it
has successfully de—orbited its Marisat F2 satellite. The de—orbiting was
completed on October 31, 2008. The final predicted orbit perigee of the
Marisat F2 satellite is 349 km above the geostationary arc; the apogee is 1257
km above the arc. In the course of de—orbiting the satellite, Intelsat depleted
the propellant tanks, discharged the batteries, disconnected the power from the
bus, and shut off the transmitters. |

Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned should youhave any
    questions.

    Respectfully submitted,
