SES—ASG—20010116—00099, et al. 1B Docket No. 99—81 Dear Madame Secretary: Notice is hereby given that on July 13, 2001, Michael Deutschman, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Counsel of Iridium Satellite LLC ("Indium"); Mark Adams, Chief Technology Office of Iridium; Tyrone Brown, Esq., a principal in Iridium; and the undersigned counsel for Iridium, met with Don Ableson, Richard Engleman, Cecily Holiday, J. Breck Blalock, and James L. Ball, all of the International Bureau, to discuss matters relevant to the above—referenced proceeding. Presently pending before the Commission is an application seeking consent to the transfer of control of the operating "Big LEO" Iridium Satellite System to Iridium. At the meeting, Iridium discussed its view that, if the Commission decides to Doc#: DC1: 119779.1

Magalie Roman Salas, Secretary grant certain relief sought in the above—referenced proceedings, specifically, to permit mobile satellite service ("MSS") systems to provide terrestrial services on an ancillary basis, similar flexibility should be afforded to Big LEO MSS systems.
