(PanAmSat), as amended, to extend the license term for its C— and Ku—band Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) space station, Intelsat 2 (Call Sign $2459), is granted. Accordingly, PanAmSat is authorized to operate the Intelsat 2 space station at the 169.1° E.L. orbital location in the 3700—4200 MHz (space—to—Earth), 5925—6425 MHz (Earth—to—space), 12250—12750 MHz (space—to—Earth), and 14000—14500 MHz (Earth—to— space) frequency bands, for an additional 28 months from its current end—of—term date of August 1, 2009, until December 1, 2011. Operations pursuant to this authorization shall be in accordance with the technical specifications set forth in the application, Federal Communication Commission rules, and are subject to the following conditions: 1) PanAmSat will operate the Intelsat 2 space station at the 169.1° E.L. orbital location subject to the previously established conditions for its operations at this orbital location. See IBFS File No. SAT—MOD—20080811—00153 (granted January 14, 2009). 2) PanAmSat is afforded thirty days from the release of this grant and authorization to decline this authorization as conditioned. PanAmSat Licensee Corp., pursuant to Section 25.117 of the rules of the Federal Communications Commission, hereby requests that the Commission modify the license of the PanAmSat satellite, Intelsat 2, by extending the term for an additional five years, through August 1, 2014. CERTIFICATION The Applicant waives any claim to the use of any particular frequency or of the electromagnetic spectrum as against the regulatory power of the United States because of the previous use of the same, whether by license or otherwise, and requests an authorization in accordance with this application. The applicant certifies that grant of this application would not cause the applicant to be in violation of the spectrum aggregation limit in 47 CFR Part 20.
