SAT-PPL-20060329-00030 & SAT-AMD-20060724-00080 Dear Ms. Dortch: Satélites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. (formerly “Satmex,” now operating as “Eutelsat Americas”) respectfully requests that the SATMEX 6 space station name on the Permitted Space Station List be changed to “Eutelsat 113 West A” (“E113WA”) to reflect its acquisition by Eutelsat Communications (“Eutelsat”).1 Updating the SATMEX 6 name as requested herein will more accurately align its name with the nomenclature of the Eutelsat fleet, ensure brand consistency and avoid commercial confusion, and establish uniform designations for present and future Eutelsat Americas’ satellites. We would also note that the SATMEX 6 satellite is not separately identified on the Permitted Space Station List (see http://transition.fcc.gov/ib/sd/se/permitted.html). Accordingly, Eutelsat Americas respectfully requests that the Commission update the Permitted Space Station List to include the Eutelsat 113 West A (SATMEX 6) satellite and associated approval information. 1 See File No. SAT-PPL-20131120-00137.
