Dear Mr. Tyr: On behalf of Lockheed Martin Corporation (*Lockheed Martin), we are hereby requesting a one—week extension of time in order to respond to your October 8, 2004 letr, in which you requested additional information concerning the tracking.telemetry and control ("TT&C") stations and operations for the above—referenced satellites. A brief extension of the current deadline is appropriate under the circumstances set forth below. Lockheed Martin has been asked to provide TT&C information with respect to three RNSS satellites no later than October 22, 2004, just one week from today and two weeks from the date of the letter. This abbreviated response period represents a very tight timeframe within which to prepare a sufficient response. Unfortunately, during this brief window, Lockheed Martin‘s senior director ofregulatory affairs, lead program engincer and principal outside regulatory counsel will also be away from their offices for all or part of the ime, and will not be fully available to assist in the preparation of the necessary response For these reasons, Lockheed Martin respectfully requests an additional week, through and including Friday, October 29, 2004, within which to submit its answers to the questions posed in the October 8"letter. This brief extension is appropriate in order to permit the company adequate time to prepare a complete response to the FCC‘s inquiries.
