SAT-A/O-20120817- 00137, SAT-AMD-20120824-00142, and SAT-AMD-20120913-00148 Dear Ms. Dortch: DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC (“DIRECTV”) and New Skies Satellites B.V. (doing business as “SES”) have reached a coordination agreement with respect to the parameters under which DIRECTV 1R should be able to operate at 55.8º E.L. so as not to cause unacceptable interference to the operations of NSS-12 at 57º E.L. As requested by the staff of the International Bureau, DIRECTV will, concurrently with filing this letter, separately transmit to the Commission a copy of the coordination agreement. DIRECTV and SES request that the Commission issue DIRECTV’s requested license for DIRECTV 1R subject to DIRECTV’s compliance with the terms of the coordination agreement, including the current March 1, 2014 expiration date (which may be extended by up to three months).
