ITC-T/C-20161110-00295 SCL-T/C-20161111-00021 WC Docket No. 16-388 Dear Ms. Dortch, The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with the concurrence of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Departement of Defense (DOD) (collectively, “the Agencies”), hereby request the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) defer action on the above referenced proceeding. The Agencies currently are reviewing these matters for any national security, law enforcement, or public safety concerns and have yet to complete that effort. We respectfully request the FCC defer action until such time as the Agencies notify the FCC of the completion of their reviews and, based on the results of such review, request appropriate action by the commission. The Agencies will advise the FCC promptly upon complection of our review.
