((Qwest") and Touch America, Inc. ("Touch America") have applied for consent to the transfer of control of international section 214 authority held by TeleDistance, Inc. This transfer will occur pursuant to the sale of TeleDistance Holdings, Inc., the parentof TeleDistance, Inc., from Qwest to Touch America. Q@west and Touch America hereby advise the Commission that they will not close the proposed transfer of control until after the Commission has reviewed Q@west‘s divestiture report filed in CC Docket No. 99—272 and issued an order stating that Qwest may close its pending merger with U S WEST, Inc.
