Re: Notification of Madison River Communications, LLC
Discontinuance of Certain International Services (filed Dec. 2, 2005)
                        Amendment to Notification

    Dear Ms. Dortch:

On December 2,2005, pursuant to Section 63.19 of the Commission's Rules, Madison
River Communications, LLC ("Madison River") filed a notification of its intent to discontinue
international services offered in Mississippi and Louisiana as of February 28, 2006, or as soon
thereafter as all regulatory approvals had been obtained. Madison River has recently learned that
some errors occurred during the notification process discussed therein, and seeks to supplement
the record to provide corrected information.

Working from its customers list (all of whom are business users), Madison River sent
notifications via overnight delivery service to each of its 275 subscn"bers, except those seventeen
subscribers for whom only a post office box address was available. Those seventeen subscribers
received notification via US mail, return confirmation requested. After receipt of only 240
confirmed receipts, Madison River undertook additional follow-up efforts, sending additional
notices via US mail and facsimile, subsequently receiving confirmation of notification that an
additional 30 customers had received notification. Additional efforts were made to contact the
remaining 5 customers, including additional overnight or US mail attempts, as well as facsimile.
Efforts continue to contact these customers. An alert regarding discontinuance was also included
on all billings sent out in December and January.

In the interim, however, it was determined that three customers were inadvertently
omitted from the original list. Initial notifications were mailed to these customers on January 4,
2006, and Madison River has confirmed that each of these customers has received the required
notice. As to these three customers, Madison River is informed that each already has contacted
at least one alternative service provider and two have secured an alternative service provider.

Madison River reports that as of January 20, 2006 approximately 115 of its original 278
customers have already changed carriers or have informed Madison River of a service transition
date. Madison River continues to work with its subscribers to assist in their individual transition
to alternative carriers.

Recognizing the necessity of providing 60 days' notification, Madison River reports that
it will not discontinue international services prior to March 6, 2006.

Please refer any questions or correspondence concerning this matter to the undersigned
(noting change in contact information as shown above).

                                                             Respectfully submitted,
