FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Section 214 Application PowerCom Energy & Communications Access Inc. ("PowerCom"), hereby requests authority to Section 214 of the Communication‘s Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. Section 214 (1982), and Section 63.18 of the Commission‘s Rules, 47 C.F.R. Section 63.18, to requests services or facilities not covered by a global authorization, interconnected private line resale, and acquiring facilities through transfer of control or assignment of authorization within the United States and other territories. PowerCom is a nationwide energy and communications access company. The company will be a distributor of retail electricity, gas, telecommunications and other value added services throughout the United States. By granting this application, the Commission will serve the public interest, convenience and necessity by promoting competition in the long distance service markets. Competition will benefit consumers nationwide by increasing service options and lowering prices. Thus, the public interest will be served by the grant of Section 214 authority to PowerCom. I. Section 63.18 Information The following information is submitted, as required by Section 63.18 of the Commission‘s Rules, in support of PowerCom‘s request for authorization. a.
