("The Free Network" or "Applicant"), hereby requests authority, pursuant to Sect 14 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. Section 214 (1982), and S 1 63.18 of the Commission‘s Rules, 47 C.F.R. Section 63.18, to provide global international > services betweenthe United States and international points. The Free Network J.S. limited liability company currently providing domestic long distance telecommunication ice and now desires to expand its operationsto include the provision of international telecommi ons services. The Free Network is currently obtaining the certifications necessary to st ‘sidential and business customers on an intrastate basis in a majority of states. By granting this apy m, the Commission will serve the public interest, convenience and necessity by promoting competition in the international services market. Competition will benefit U.S. consumers by increasing service options and lowering prices. Thus, the public interest will be serviced by the grant of Section 214 authority to The Free Network.
