A firing unit for a controlled rectifier produces a firing pulse in
response to equality of a DC error voltage and a voltage which is the
integral of the rectifier input waveform; the integrated voltage is reset
each cycle and its prereset value clamped at a constant level. Means for
producing the error voltage may also use integration of the output current
in the rectifier load.
