Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Wyle Laboratories is working under a DHS grant to develop a prototype system that will allow First Responders to perform a remote threat assessment of a situation via a trained canine equipped with a multi-sensor guidance and monitoring system. Part of the development requires the use of radios to communicate audio (Voice) commands to the canine. The radios planned for use are commercial off-the-shelf UHF radios (Motorola EX600 and Minitor V Pager). The STA is required to use these radios for testing and demonstration of the system. The radios will be used as is without any modification to remotely transmit audio commands to the canine.
