Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
WIDAX Corporation has developed a Point to Multipoint (PMP) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) system that is designed to operate at the 3.400 GHz ? 3.430 GHz and 3.500 ? 3.530 band. The WIDAX system provides broadband bi-directional, wireless, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), high-speed Internet access capabilities and is designed to eliminate the bottleneck of the last mile Internet connectivity. The system is the first implementation of the impending IEEE 802.16 standard. Although this frequency band is not in general use in the United States, it has a wide application in Europe, Asia and Latin America. WIDAX requests the STA to enable testing to determine system parameters, data throughput and functionality. It is the intention of WIDAX Corporation to use these frequencies solely for the testing of equipment that is to be marketed and deployed in foreign markets where the 3.4 GHz to 3.5 GHz band has been allocated for private fixed communication services.
