Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Virgin Galactic requests special temporary authority for 60 days to conduct ground and in-flight testing at 2360-2390 MHz at Spaceport America in New Mexico while the FCC processes its experimental license application. See ELS File No. 0745-EX-CN-2020 (the “License Application”). Virgin Galactic requests STA for the same technical parameters at 2360-2390 MHz at Spaceport America as provided in its successful coordination with AFTRCC. For convenience, Virgin Galactic attaches the S-band pre-coordination AFTRCC exhibit here. The License Application and associated exhibits provide full details of the purpose of the request for experimental authority and are incorporated herein by reference.
