Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is requested because applicant is proposing operations for less than 6 months. Applicant requests Special Temporary Authorization to operate a prototype wireless transmitter under developement by Ikegami to transmit high definition television (HDTV) images for demonstration purposes in a laboratoryand at NFL football games. The unit is a prototype that will be evaluated in the Labatory and used at four NFL post season games and the SuperBowl to be broadcast by CBS to obtain experimental operational field data on the quality of transmission, including the range of error free transmission high definition television, and other operational factors. The observations will be used to develop the next generation of high definition television wireless transmitters.
