Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Operation of a low-power imaging radar system developed by Umbra Lab LLC. It is designed for operation an airborne platform but experimental testing may also be performed on mobile platforms. The purpose of the radar system, and the rational for this STA, is to 1) demonstrate hardware and functionality necessary for a planned space-based synthetic aperture radar, and 2) gather imaging radar data pertinent to the operation of a space-based synthetic aperture radars operating within the ITU allocated frequencies at X-band.
