The objective of this testing is to evaluate the suitability of DSRC technology for grade crossing protection through characterization of DSRC performance as well as the wireless propagation environment under simulated conditions at the TTCI test track in Pueblo, CO. Both DSRC on-board units and wireless propagation and EMI measurement systems will be installed on a train engine; DSRC road-side units and wireless propagation receivers will be installed at several wayside locations around the TTCI test track.
