Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The original request was filed under File number 0081-EX-ML-2014. A STA is being requested because it has become apparent that the testing is needed as soon as possible. We would like to use the STA while the modification to 0081-EX-ML-2014 is being completed. We will cancel the STA as soon as the experimental license is returned.

Special Temporary Authority application - Initial values - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The EMAG Beacon Monopulse Sensor System will be tested as both a K-band radar tracking system and as a K-band data link. Steerable AESA antennas will be used on both ends of the link. One AESA will be stationed at the Outdoor Antenna Range. The other AESA will be mounted on a vehicle, such as a Boeing FunMover van, and driven around Smartt Field while measuring and communicating. Center frequency is 22.5 GHz ± 250 MHz. Peak transmit power is 200 mW. Instantaneous bandwidth of the radar tracking system is 2.5 GHz. Instantaneous bandwidth in data link mode is 2 MHz.
