Please explain the purpose of operation:
The requested frequencies are to be utilized for EMC testing. To demonstrate that there is no interference caused by the radios; these frequencies are keyed up for approximately 6 seconds. These transmissions are not intended to be received by anyone specifically. The operator will add voice to these free air transmissions by saying a 5 count. An example of the typical transmission is ?test 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 test out. During this transmission, the aircraft systems are observed for any interference. This evaluation applies to the emissive characteristics of the radios and is routinely conducted during EMC testing.
