Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
This assignment is for shielding effectiveness tests on Aircraft to protect against HIRF emissions. A signal generator will send a non-pulsed carrier wave via hard line to aircraft hull to excite surface of the aircraft. License is required because the fuselage will actually be emitting the requested frequencies. Field probes are positioned on-board the aircraft and outside of it and the measured comparison values will determine shielding effectiveness to identify possible maintenance actions.
