The purpose of this operation is to fly the I-Master radar between 5 and 17 thousand feet around the Wichita area of Kansas. The radar antenna is mounted on the aircraft and the radiation beam is tightly steerable to focus on specific points on the ground to mitigate unwanted radiation in sensitive directions. The radar will be used to image the ground during a Air Force sanctioned event.
