Calm Computing Ltd is a leading UK based supplier of Passenger Tracking systems for the cruise line industry. Calm Computing Ltd has entered an agreement with Texas Instruments Ltd (RFID Systems Business) to develop RF indentification systems for use in passenger tracking on board of cruise liners. The demonstration system is based on 13.56MHz passive (batteryless) Radio Frequency Identification Transponders. The system will allow the automatic identification of passengers at a gate antenna, located at the cruise liner boarding entrance. Grant of a license will serve the public interest, convenience and safety, as it will facilitate the production of accurate passenger manifests at all points throughout a vessels voyage.
