Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The frequencies requested for this STA is the Band Class 14, 700MHz public safety spectrum which is currently licensed to and managed by the First Responder Netowrk Authority (FirstNet). Colorado wishes to utilize these frequencies for a llimited exercise and therefore needs permission from the FCC and FirstNet to transmit.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The operation will be a temporary hunter checkpoint managed by the Colorado Divsion of Wildlife during October of 2015. The 36 hour event will allow DOW to monitor and check vehicles coming from hunting areas for proper tags and other requirements related to the havesting of animals during hunting season. The area the checkpoint will be located in has limited to no wireless service and we wish to implement a temporary deployable solution to provide the necessary network connectivity.
