Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
ST SPORTSERVICE is the timing and scoring provider for World Cup Bobsleigh events in Park City, UT and Lake Placid, NY. We are planning to deploy radio transmitters during these events (see answer to #5). The transmitters have been custom-built in our factories in Germany, and at this point in time they are not certified for use under the FCC. These deployments are short-term (only one week per location).

We are testing radio collection of telemetry data from each sled, such as speed, acceleration, roll, etc. These data items detected and transmitted by a unit mounted in each sled, and the information is collected by a small array of antennas that are positioned along the bobsleigh course. The data are then used in the printed results, television graphics, scoreboard, etc. for the events.
