Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application uses information from previous grant 0498-EX-ST-2015. This STA is necessary for Dragon capsule telemetry, tracking, and command, for the upcoming SpX-8 mission to the International Space Station. The launch site for the capsule is Complex 40, Cape Canaveral AFS. The landing site is offshore, Pacific Ocean. The launch and re-entry licensing authority is FAA. Launch also to be coordinated with Eastern Range. On-orbit rendezvous with ISS to be coordinated with NASA. Request STA to remain valid for 6 months or until mission is concluded, whichever occurs first.
