Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application uses information from previous grant 1095-EX-ST-2015. This STA is necessary for Dragon capsule telemetry, tracking, and command, for the upcoming SpX-9 mission to the International Space Station. The launch site for the capsule is Complex 40, Cape Canaveral AFS. The landing site for the capsule is offshore, Pacific Ocean. The landing site for the first stage is Landing Zone 1 at Cape Canaveral AFS. The launch and re-entry licensing authority is FAA. Launch also to be coordinated with Eastern Range. On-orbit rendezvous with ISS to be coordinated with NASA. Request STA to remain valid for 6 months or until mission is concluded, whichever occurs first.
