Pursuant to Section 5.61 of the Commission's rules, 47 CFR Section 5.61, Sony Electronics Inc., hereby request special temporary authorization to operate a prototype wireless camera system for a period not to exceed six months beginning on July 1, 2002. The purpose of operation is to test and further develop a wireless camera system for operation in the 2.506 to 2.594 GHz band for interference with existing users of the band.
