The STA will enable Sarcos to test a low weight, low power prototype radar currently being developed by Fortem Technologies. This is necessary to support work we are currently doing for government contracts in cUAS missions with AFRL.

To test its low weight, low power (SWaP) prototype radar. This ultra-small SWaP radar has been designed to enable UAVs to detect and avoid/engage other airborne vehicles, thus allowing them to safely fly Beyond Line of Sight. We will need to perform testing near our company headquarters in the University of Utahs Research Park. This testing will be directed by the engineering team in partnership with teams from Fortem Technologies. The Fortem team has managed STA and Experimental Licenses in the past.
