Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
To permit a C-band radar to be operated in the Washington, DC area (specific site to be identified during week of 12 Sep). The frequencies to be used in the 5.4 - 5.9 GHz range were previously coordinated in 2009 with FAAs Spectrum Engineering Group who advised that none of the transmitting frequencies to be used would interfere with air traffic contro or otherwise be problematic for the FAAl.
