Rocket Lab is requesting temporary FCC authorization to use the FCC-approved transmitter (FCC ID Q639603N) to transmit from a space-based location. The Iridium 9602 transmitters will be operating exactly as was approved during the FCC equipment approval process; it will be using exactly the same protocols and have exactly the same FCC regulated characteristics as if it were transmitting from the earths surface.
