Raytheon seeks this STA in order to allow testing and technical demonstrations of the iBurst systems in El Paso, Texas for 120 days. as well as demonstrating performance of the iBurst system to prospective buyers, within the Department of Defense (DoD), Homeland Defense, and commercial markets. These Raytheon objectives are in line with the public safety objectives in seeking and acquiring the above mentioned FCC Experimental License for El Paso, Texas.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS) has been developing a broadband communications system that can be used for interoperability for First Responders; this system will provide essential data during an emergencies. The Raytheon has partnered with Kyrocera to provide this Technology for first responders. By its application, IBurst sought authority to operate in El Paso, Texas this will allow testing the various types of terrain and topology. (i) conduct technical demonstrations and testing of service in the various townships and evaluate performance is in accordance with design specifications; (ii) demonstrate performance of the systems to prospective purchasers; and (iii) perform limited market studies.
