Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Qualcomm will be performing a series of RF propagation tests to evaluate the shielding properties of an aircraft fuselage. The testing will occur at the Boeing Glasgow Flight Test Facility located approximately 12 miles north of Glasgow Montana. The actual tests will be performed over approximately 10 days between May 8th and July 7th, 2006. In order to evaluate the future AWS band frequency characteristics, the frequency of 2148 MHz has been identified for use. A search of the FCC ULS revealed no commercial use of this frequency within 100 miles of the airfield.
