Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The PTRC is supporting a 15 March 2012 suspense to support a pre-deployment training exercise for the US Army 1st Armor Division. If a STA is approved, the PTRC will provide a GSM cellular system simulate signals found in Southwest Asia. The GSM system will not be utilized for cellular communications per se or for infrastructure purposes or to provide common carrier services, but to provide simulated signals to exercise electronic intelligence and DF gathering.
