Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The Federal Communications Commission Office of Engineering and Technology previously issued a Special Temporary Authorization (call sign WD9XHY) to Applicant to demonstrate potential applications of hardware developed to use TV white spaces for regulators and other interested parties. Applicant surrendered this STA upon completion of its demonstrations on June 26, 2008. Applicant now respectfully requests a new STA with the same conditions for a period of two weeks to accommodate requests to demonstrate its hardware to legislators and their staffs. Applicant notes that the transmit portion of its demonstration is less than three minutes, and anticipates that total aggregate transmit time for the duration of the requested STA will not exceed 60 minutes.
