Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
This application proposes the use of an FM Broadcast channel for the low power audio transmission of religious services to congregants in their vehicles parked in the lot adjacent to the applicant’s venue (Perfecting Church). This arrangement enables attendees and event staff to maintain government mandated and health experts’ recommendations on physical distancing to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus, at the same time providing for a shared live experience among the church’s congregation. Utilizing the FM broadcast band enables delivery of the service’s audio to attendees using their in-vehicle radios without having contact with church staff. Utilizing attendees’ own radios eliminates the complex logistics of distributing and collecting specialized receivers in a safe manner, the sanitizing and packaging of said receivers and the added time and expense as a result of such efforts.
