Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The main purpose of the operation is testing. There is no commercial activity taking place as part of this testing. Rather, the testing is proof-of-concept. The testing will be part of an ongoing collaboration with Texas A&M University. For this testing, a CWS-1xx will be installed on a vessel in the Galveston Bay. The CWS-1xx will be providing backhaul for the ship while also in communication with the fixed unit located at the Ocean & Coastal Studies Building, located at the Texas A&M University. Testing of our equipment is desired to determine whether Parallel Wireless would be able to enable a public safety network to be implemented in a nautical setting.
