Parallel Wireless seeks to perform testing of a cellular base station in the Band 14 public safety LTE band. The testing will be in collaboration with Sonim Technologies, Inc., a vendor of Band 14 compatible handsets. Together, Parallel Wireless and Sonim seek to ensure handset compatibility across all 3GPP standard eNodeBs. Parallel Wireless’s existing licenses do not cover the area and dates of the testing.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The objective of this operation is to test network capabilities in the Band 14 public safety LTE band. The testing will utilize one CWS-1XX from Parallel Wireless that provides Band 14 LTE coverage. Using handsets from Sonim Technologies, Inc., we will perform testing of voice and data over the Band 14 network. There is no commercial activity taking place as part of this demonstration. The testing will occur at a Sonim research facility, located at 2356 White Oak Dr., Little Elm, TX, 75068.
