Orbital Sciences Corporation will utilize the Minotaur I Launch Vehicle to deliver the ORS-3 spacecraft to low earth orbit as part of the Air Force Space Development and Test Directorates Operational Responsive Space program. The launch mission requires vehicle-to-ground communicationfrom launch until payload is delivered into low earth orbit. The Air Force is directing Orbital to request an STA to license the radio frequency emitters on the launch vehicle to cover emissions during the short duration of the mission.
