Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Northrop Grumman requests the filing of a (STA) Special Temporary Authority for MMDS/ITFS channel C4, whose frequency range is from 2.584 GHz to 2.590 GHz. The reason for the STA request is to provide drive testing in support of the New York Citywide Mobile Wireless Network. This wireless network will be used by New York City?s public safety agencies to meet their broadband wireless requirements. This testing will demonstrate the coverage provided from new 4G wireless technology in an urban environment. This testing will also be used to fine-tune the propagation models associated with this type of technology.
