Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation

Please explain the purpose of operation:
NGSC is developing and needs to test an airborne platform with a microwave transmitter. The experimental transmissions will involve a Broadcast Microwave Services transmitter at 4 locations. The system can transmit from 2200-2290 MHz, but the program needs only a 10 MHz contiguous bandwidth within the 2200-2290 frequency range in which to test. This application requests the frequencies 2250-2260 MHz, but any 10 MHz of contiguous spectrum is sufficient and can be different at each of the 4 requested locations. The antenna is omni-directional with a gain of 5.5 dBi.
