The purpose of the operation is to demonstrate the functionality of the QuicLINK mobile radio communications system, which provides WCDMA radio access and core network functionality in a single integrated system. A QuicLINK system supports circuit-switched voice/video, UE-to-UE, UE-to-PSTN, and PSTN-to UE calls, as well as packet-switched data calls, and is capable of stand-alone operation where it provides UE-to-UE calls within its radio coverage area. QuicLINK is specifically designed for deployable, mobile units, e.g., military field operations.
