NBC wishes to test the Sony Wireless MPEG Camera System in Salt Lake City for coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. This camera system is already licensed (To Sony: call sign WB9XLB, file number 0029-EX-ML-2001) but the areas listed for operation in the license application were Las Vegas, NV and New Jersey. The camera is licensed for operation 'Mobile:nationwide' but we would like to request explicit authorization for operation in Salt Lake City. Operational tests to determine capabilities of the camera system for Olympics coverage.
