Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The television broadcast industry is in transition to a new transmission system, called ATSC 3.0. Some of the capabilities of this will be demonstrated on a limited basis during the NABShow, a large annual trade show for the industry. The demonstration will require rapid parameter changes to the transmission equipment that cannot be achieved using a licensed broadcast station.
