Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes the use of amateur radio, land mobile and certain microwave bands in the Austin, Texas area for terrestrial only, international and domestic video production operation; and for two-way operational and security communications during the FIA World Endurance Championship 24-hour automobile race events and for testing prior to and after the event within and immediately surrounding the Circuit of the Americas Racetrack. The STA is necessary because the race teams, from Europe and elsewhere, use land mobile, and microwave radio equipment that is not licensable in the United States for the purpose set forth herein, due to frequency ranges, and it is new technology under development.
