Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes the use of three UHF operations channels for an automobile race team (AF Corse) for voice communications between crew and race vehicles at the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta Raceway in Braselton, Georgia during October 2-4 of 2014. An STA is necessary because the system uses land mobile radio equipment that is not licensed or licensable in the United States at the moment due to frequency ranges, and it is new technology under development.
