Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
An STA is required to allow Motorola to demonstrate its HSDPA technology for a meeting with the financial analyst community. The demonstration consists of an experimental base station transmitting at under 100mW to an experimental mobile station about 10 feet away. A single 5MHz channel within the 2110-2170MHz band is required; preferrably the 5MHz channel centered at 2140MHz. Both base station and mobile station will remain fixed for the duration of the demonstration.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of operation is for Motorola to demonstrate its HSDPA technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access, enhancement to GSM/UMTS standard) for a meeting with the financial analyst community. The demonstration will show video streaming applications over a 10.8Mbps wireless link. The financial analyst meeting is scheduled to take place on July 28th and 29th at the Westin Hotel in Rosemont, IL. Spectrum will also be required on July 27th during setup of the demonstration.
