Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Our company is looking to compare performance of DECT NR+ radios at 1.9 GHz against similar technologies in the unlicensed 900 MHz frequency band. Our undrestanding is that the 1.9 GHz band can be used without an STA, but there are strong limitations on transmit power and duty cycle/dwell time. An unrestricted power and channel usage up to at least +20 dBm transmit power is necessary for comparing these technologies.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
Testing is planned for indoor and outdoor operations in and around our office at 433 W Van Buren St in Chicago, IL. This will consist of range testing using a pair of Rx/Tx chips with antennas, sending simple tones across the channels in this frequency band and performing simple throughput testing by sending simple numeric payload data between the two devices. Testing is expected to be for 2-6 hours per day during normal working hours for up to 3 months.
